This Is The Wedding Cake I Made For My Daughter Bryhony & Husband Richard. It Was His Idea To Have The Simpsons On It, & Bryhony Has Had The Cake Style Picked Since They Met 10 Years Ago...
I've Made The Simpsons Before In Sugar But This Time We Decided On Polymer Clay So They Could Keep Them Forever. The Cat Is Based On Their Cat Bosley & The Page Boy Is A Special Little Boy She Looks After Sometimes. The Flowers Are All Sugar On Wire & The Cakes Were Milk Choc Mud, Caramel Choc Mud & Top Strawberry Choc Mud... All Iced In Chocolate Fudge Then My Own Plastic Icing... I Prefer To Make Everything Myself Except The Boards Which I Have Made To Size...
About 40 Hours Work
My Last Polymer Clay Figures Were Made With Super Sculpey, These Were Made With Ozzle An Australian Brand Which Is Great But A Little Softer. Marg & Homer Where Made In Three Layers Of Clay With A Layer Of Foil To Bulk Them Out After The First. I'll Add Some More Pics Later That I Took As I Was Making Them But I Didn't Take Many As This Was All Done Over One Week In Between My Other Two Jobs So I Was A Little Pressed For Time...
